From the beginning, it was about protection. What began in 1926 with floor polish and shoe polish has already developed into a diverse quality offer for structural protection. The energetic founder of the company, Heinrich Hahne paved the way and led the company through troubled waters. Despite this, he was still able to expand the product range by the end of the 1940s and pursue the specialisation on the reliable structure protection. With his corrosion protection coats, hahne Bautenschutz was a sought-after manufacturer and supplier for mines, steel mills and the shipbuilding industry.

With many years of experience and a really good name in the construction industry, the manufacturing of structural sealing through bitumen thick coatings was the only logical step for the 50 employees. The company's run of success took its course and in the 1980s it lead to the expansion of the product range for masonry renovation, basement sealing and industrial flooring. The merger with the Sievert Construction Materials Group was therefore predetermined in many ways. And now we are celebrating the anniversary year with a big thank you to our numerous customers throughout Europe.
