Special primer for structural waterproofing on mineral. substrates
Applications:
- Dry and temporarily slightly moist surfaces
- Absorbent, mineral substrates
- Horizontal and vertical surfaces
CHARACTERISTICS
IMBERAL® Aquarol 10D is a red coloured primer that has a chemical and a physical action specially designed to meet the very demanding requirements of state-of-the-art waterproofing.
Binds adhering dust (abrading particles, cement dust and silica dust) to the mineral surface of the construction material.
Strengthens construction material surfaces by means of siliceous bonding and forms a load bearing base for subsequent waterproofing.
Reduces substrate absorbency by waterproofing the surface zone and lessens the risk of water permeating behind the sealant.

USE
IMBERAL® Aquarol 10D is a primer particularly well-suited for single and two component thick bituminous coatings and flexible sealing slurries such as INTRASIT® Poly-C1 54Z and IMBERAL® RSB 55Z.

QUANTITY REQUIRED
PREPARATION OF THE SURFACE
The substrates must be absorbent, firm, sound and free from loose material.
The substrate can be slightly moist.
Clean floor slab projections. Remove sinter layers and contaminants.
APPLICATION
DIN 18533 – Waterproofing of buildings
DIN 1053 – Masonry
Observe the guidelines for planning and execution of construction components in direct contact with the ground using polymer modified bituminous thick coatings.
IMPORTANT NOTES
SAFETY PROVISIONS/RECOMMENDATIONS
The product is alkaline. Observe the usual health and safety precautions when handling chemical products. In case of contact with eyes, rinse eyes immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice. Wear suitable protective clothing.
DISPOSAL
The local waste removal regulations must be observed.

| 1. | Apply IMBERAL® Aquarol 10D to the substrate with a brush, a roller or by spraying. On very dusty surfaces it is recommended to apply with a brush or a broom to bind the dust well. | |
| 2. | The thick coating waterproofing can be applied as soon as the primer is dried to matt damp. Longer drying times do not have any detrimental effect on the bond strength. | |
| 3. | Clean tools (sprayer) with water immediately after use. | |
| 4. | Use IMBERAL® Aquarol 10A white when working over the primer with visible coatings. |
IMPORTANT NOTES
- Be sure to protect components which are close by from splashes and spray mist.
