CHARACTERISTICS
VESTEROL® SSW 18OS is a solvent-free, ready-to-apply impregnation agent that permits diffusion and is highly resistant to alkali.
It dries into a non-stick, invisible film.

    USE
    VESTEROL® SSW 18OS is used for waterproofing absorbent mineral surfaces, for protection against moisture penetration on brick and clay face masonry, on mineral exterior rendering, concrete, aerated concrete and similar substrates. Also for preventing the formation of algae and moss, efflorescence caused by movement of water and splintering caused by frost.

      PREPARATION OF THE SURFACE
      The substrate must be dry and free of dirt and debris. Repair damaged joints, defects and cracks wider than 0.5 mm prior to impregnation.
      Remove heavy deposits of industrial dirt and soot.
      Mask off adjoining surfaces, windows, aluminium frames and doors with a plastic sheet. Remove splashes of VESTEROL® SSW 18OS with water while still fresh.

        APPLICATION
        1.Apply the product with a pressure spray (highpressure spray) or ceiling brush from bottom to top, so that the liquid running down penetrates into the already impregnated surface. Apply a sufficient quantity to obtain a 20 - 30 cm wide curtain of liquid running down.
        2.Clean all tools with water immediately after use.


        Avoid spray mist. To achieve a particularly high level of penetration, apply VESTEROL® SSW 18OS twice (while still wet).IMPORTANT NOTES
        • Maintain the processing temperature at +5 °C to +35 °C.
        • The impregnation is fully effective after about 4 weeks.
        • To ensure lasting hydrophobic protection, the facade should be impregnated again after approx. 10 years (depending on the respective building material).
        • The service life of an impregnation is dependent on the order quantity, pore volume, penetration depth and building-specific weather exposure.
        • For vertical and sloping areas only.
        • Not suitable for sealing against pressing water.
