    USE
INTRASIT® USP 54Z for renovating new and old buildings both indoors and outdoors. Applicable as rendering for subsequent superstructure and substrate for composite waterproofing. Suitable for brickworks with low to medium salinity level.

    QUANTITY REQUIRED
Quantity requiredapprox. 1.4 kg/ m² /mm layer thickness

    PREPARATION OF THE SURFACE
The plaster base must be stable, dry, free of dust and mould oils, waxes and other release agents. The substrate can either be matt moist or dry. However, pressing moisture must be sealed. All materials containing gypsum must be removed. Old plaster must be removed in a radius of at least 80-100 cm around the visible salt-damaged or soaked zone. Rake out and replace any loose joint mortar. Pre-wet highly absorbent substrates. Apply INTRASIT® USP 54Z as pneumatic mortar (50 - 60% coverage).

      APPLICATION
1.Add 5-6 litres (depending on application) clean water into a stirring vessel. Thereafter, add the entire 25-kg contents of the bag and, using suitable stirring tools, stir until it is free of lumps. Allow to settle briefly and, if necessary, stir again.
2.INTRASIT® USP 54Z can be applied in a single layer in coat thicknesses of up to 30 mm. For smooth and non-absorbent substrates, a scratch coat with INTRASIT® USP 54Z is recommended. The further application of plaster whilst still wet.
3.After stiffening, rubbing or felting. For subsequent layering using, for example, final coats or tiles, roughen using grid float.
4.Clean all processing equipment with water after use.

Do not apply at air and substrate temperatures below +5 °C. Once hardened, INTRASIT® USP 54Z is frost-proof. Once dried and suitably hardened, INTRASIT® USP 54Z can be painted with silicate paints, e.g. INTRASIT® SE-SF 70A. The air layer thickness sd < 0.2 m equivalent to diffusion for each individual subsequent layer must not be exceeded.IMPORTANT NOTES
      • Exclusively suitable for manual processing.
      • Building rubble in the vicinity of the renovation site must be removed daily to prevent the return migration of salt.
      • Protect the fresh plaster/rendering from drying out too quickly and from unfavourable weather. Avoid draft air and direct sunlight.
      • High temperatures accelerate and low temperatures delay the progress of bonding
      • Adhere to the specified quantity of water. Overdosing leads to increased shrinkage and can cause cracking.
      • INTRASIT® USP 54Z is not a replacement for structural waterproofing.

      SAFETY PROVISIONS/RECOMMENDATIONS
