HADALAN® Topcoat M 12P

Polyurethane dispersion sealant, matt
CHARACTERISTICS
HADALAN® Topcoat M 12P is a 2-component light-resistant polyurethane resin. After complete hardening, a transparent, matt protective coat with good abrasion resistance is obtained.
  • 2-component
  • Open-to-diffusion
  • Matt surface
  • Light-resistant
  • Solvent-free

INGREDIENTS
Polyurethane resin, auxiliary materials

    USE
HADALAN® Topcoat M 12P as protective paint for chipped surfaces. As primer and protective coat for mineral, absorbent substrates, cast asphalt and anhydrite paint.

    Areas of application:

    • Floor surfaces indoors and outdoors
    • Rigid reaction resin paints
    • Concrete and screed surfaces
    • Cast asphalt in the indoors

    QUANTITY REQUIRED
    On non-absorbent
    substrates

    On absorbent
    substrates
    0.1 - 0.15 kg/m2/coat

    0.15 - 0.25 kg/m2/coat

      1) At +20 °C and 60 % relative atmospheric humidity.PREPARATION OF THE SURFACE
The substrate must have load bearing capacity, be dry on the surface and free of dirt, dust, cleaning agent residues or other separating substances.
In case of significant temperature changes, in conjunction with increased atmospheric humidity, there is a danger of condensate water formation on the surface of the substrate. Before starting the coating work, this water film should have dried completely. Otherwise, when coating moist surfaces, detaching or irritation in the material surface may occur. For primer-coating mineral, absorbent substrates, HADALAN® Topcoat M 12P is diluted with 10 % water.

        APPLICATION
1.Mix component A and component B thoroughly with a slow-rotating drilling machine and an agitator. Then fill into another container and stir briefly once again.
2.HADALAN® Topcoat M 12P is applied with a mohair roller in a thin layer cross-wise on the substrate. Compliance with the given consumption quantities is required. Excessive application quantities can result in irritations in the material surface.
3.The cleaning of the operating equipment can be done in the fresh state with water. After the hardening is complete, cleaning is only possible mechanically.
4.After 4 hours, it is possible to walk carefully on the surfaces; they can be worked after 6 hours and fully loaded after 5 days.

        IMPORTANT NOTES
        • Maintain the processing temperature of +5 °C to +30 °C.
        • The substrate to be coated must be dry on the surface.
        • High temperatures accelerate and low temperatures delay the progress of hardening.
        • Adhere to the coating intervals.
        • Comply with the usage specifications. Increased layer thicknesses or puddle formation can result in detaching or irritations in the coating surface.
        • Do not use if the surface will be permanently subject to pressure from car tyres.
        • The substrate temperature must be at least 3 °C above the dew point temperature.
        • Uneven application strengths, air draught and major temperature differences can lead to irritations in the surface.

        SAFETY PROVISIONS/RECOMMENDATIONS
For detailed information regarding safety during transport, storage and handling, refer to the updated safety data sheet.

          DISPOSAL
The local waste removal regulations must be observed.
