HADALAN® E-PU 12P

Polyurethane grouting compound for horizontal expansion joints, permanently elastic
CHARACTERISTICS
HADALAN® E-PU 12P is a solvent-free, permanently elastic, 2-component joint grouting compound with a good resistance to oil, petroleum spirit, diluted acids and alkalis, fuels and aqueous cleaning solutions.
  • Solvent-free
  • Permanently elastic
  • Flowable
  • Good resistance to chemicals

INGREDIENTS
Polyurethane resin, functional fillers

    USE
HADALAN® E-PU 12P is used for filling out horizontal joints in screed and concrete as well as for steel and asphalt surfaces. By adding HADALAN® SM 57DD, the flow behaviour of HADALAN® E-PU 12P can be reduced.

    Areas of application:

    • Concrete and screed joints
    • Industrial floors
    • Asphalt ground

      1) At +20 °C and 60 % relative atmospheric humidity.PREPARATION OF THE SURFACE
The joints must be dry and free of dirt, dust, oil and other adhesion-impairing substances. If required, the joints should be cleaned by milling or sandblasting. Then, the joints are blown clean with oil-free compressed air or with the help of a vacuum cleaner.
For stiffening and adhesion facilitation, the joint flanks are primer-coated with HADALAN® HV Uni 30DD.
By using separating foil or backfill material (closed-cell foam cord), the adhesion of the joint paste on the joint primer should be prevented. After an airing time of the primer of > 6h < 24h, the joint paste can be introduced.
To ensure a precise appearance of the joint edges, they should be fitted with a self-sticking tape. The tape must be removed immediately after the grouting.

        APPLICATION
1.Mix component A and component B thoroughly with a slowly rotating stirring tool (400 rpm), till a uniform grey colour shade is obtained. The minimum mixing time is 1 minute.
2.Then fill the paste into a clean vessel, stir it briefly and insert it into the joints. In the case of surfaces over which vehicles are driven, the joint filling should retract about 5 mm, so that the mechanical strain from rolling loads is minimised.
3.The adhesive tape should be pulled off immediately after adding HADALAN® E-PU 12P.
4.Clean all the working equipment after use with HADALAN® EPV 38L. Material that has already undergone a reaction should only be removed mechanically.

        IMPORTANT NOTES
        • Maintain the processing temperature at +5 °C to +35 °C.
        • The substrate must be fully dry during the work.
        • The material should be protected from humidity till it is completely hard.
        • High temperatures accelerate and low temperatures delay the progress of bonding.
        • When processing partial quantities, attention must be paid to complying exactly with the mixing ratio.
        • The joints must be dry before grouting, since bubbles can get formed upon contact of the joint compound with moisture.
        • If used in the outdoors, the surface of the grouting compound can become yellowed.

        SAFETY PROVISIONS/RECOMMENDATIONS
Information regarding the safety during transport, storage and handling are included in the updated safety data sheets.

          DISPOSAL
The local waste removal regulations must be observed.
