CHARACTERISTICS
INTRASIT® AS 88OS are fibre rods impregnated with silane-based injection material. The sealing sticks are ready to use and can be inserted directly into the drill channel. The hydrophobic injection material penetrates deep into the damp masonry.

    USE
    INTRASIT® AS 88OS is used as a subsequent horizontal barrier in masonry renovation. For this purpose, the impregnated rods are applied into the masonry via horizontal drill holes. The contained hydrophobic injection material forms an efficient barrier against moisture and thus allows the wall to dry.

      APPLICATION
      1.Drill holes at a distance of 12 cm (drill hole diameter 12 mm, drill-hole depth corresponds to the length of the inserted sticks plus 1 cm). The drill holes can usually be drilled in the horizontal joint or in the lowest accessible mortar joint. Reduce the drilling pressure approx. 40 mm before the end of the drill hole.
      2.If debris and/or drill dust obstructs the insertion of the sticks, clear or blow out drill holes.
      3.Insert INTRASIT® AS 88OS into the drill holes until the sticks are countersunk by approx. 5 mm.

      IMPORTANT NOTES
      • Remove the sticks piece by piece from the aluminium bag.
      • Do not force the sticks into the hole.
      • If the sticks protrude from the drill hole during eruptions, this does not affect the performance. The holes are closed during renovation.

      SAFETY PROVISIONS/RECOMMENDATIONS
      Occupational safety: the usual hygiene and precautionary measures for handling chemical products must be observed. Wear suitable protective work clothing.
